Here are my options if I stay in the 1000 dollar range

Sightron 6x24x50
Vortex PST 6x24x50

I've almost talked myself into just going for a higher end scope then it would be

Bushnell HDMR
Vortex Razor
Nightforce
other options

Going on a Savage 10fpck in a XLR chassis chambered in .308
Thanks

Re: Help me pick

I'm going to bump this one for you, because I really want to hear what people have to say between the NF, Razor, and PST.

I'm currently studying over the options for a replacement myself - those that responded to my questions seemed to push me towards the NF or Razor.

Re: Help me pick

Scopes.... Not like 6 of 1 & half a dozen of another.

Thing is whenever I dream of a higher power scope the real options are above, well above, $1000. I'm glad I don't really have a need for a high power variable, or it could be I'm sad because I don't have a proper rifle to put one on. I have expensive taste and that's a problem in my wallet.

Would a fixed power be an option? I guess not, though.

Good luck

Re: Help me pick

O.K. I thought about it a little more tell me why I should spend another 600 to 1000 to get the NF,Razor,HDMR over the PST or Sightron. I am a casual shooter, don't shoot for competition but I would like to in the future and would like to attend a precision shooting school in the future.

Re: Help me pick

This is a pretty easy one. PST over sightron all day long IMO. PST has great glass, zero stop turrets, Front focal plane, illuminated, tough as hell, and one kick ass warranty.

As for the higher end stuff, that is a personal call. Yes the glass will be a little better and some of the features will be nicer but like you said, the cost is extra. If you have a gun dealer in your area that carries the brands you want, go down and look at/through them for yourself and see if you think it's worth it for your purpose.
