muzzel break

Re: muzzel break

mostly bench and prone shooting at a local 1k range. looking for side and or side and top port no bottom port. I may hunt with it down east where shots typicaly start at 500 and go out from there. no natches though, for that i run either my 300 or 308

Re: muzzel break

Check out Rat Worx Big Chubby. It is similar to the Badger FTE brake.

Re: muzzel break

the best muzzle brake on the market is the Holland's Radial Baffle Muzzle Brake. its not the most tactical cool looking brake on the market but works the best. the channels that redirect the blast are curves so that they provide little resistance to the gases, you will be able to spot for yourself with this brake. check out the reviews on midway.

I think everyone knows what the OP meant, never felt the need to belittle anyone over a misspelling or incorrect usage of a word. I'm sure I've misused or misspelled a word before and thankfully the highly educated person I'm talking to didn't correct me about it.

I've had great luck with Ross' brakes, they look like a Holland with ports on the side and holes on the top. They work great and are reasonably priced at $45.00 each shipped. I used a rubber washer between the brake and barrel shoulder, some use a crush washer. Others like a perfect fit and have it machined to be flush with the barrel for a seamless look. Mine has never moved after using it over half of last seasons matches. He can make whatever diameter you need and ream the hole for the correct caliber.

Check out this guy, Barker Machine, just tried one on a 375 CT and loved it.

Good luck,

Re: muzzel break

I like the badger FTE brake. I have one on my 300 WSM and will be using it on my 280AI aswell.
