For a stoopid amount of money. It was a Gen I rifle, someone put about $1k+ into my hand, for a used rifle.

I'll miss the accuracy, robust build, but I never had the opportunity to get additional barrel(s), the factory 16" CL shot very well...

I won't miss it's heavy ass!

Re: I Sold My LMT MWS

So you sold a MWS for $1K or you profited $1K? If you sold it for $1K you're either the most generous person on the face of the earth or not very smart. An MWS is worth an easy $2K used when shit isn't going mad just because of how hard LMT stuff is to come by in general. Right now MWS's are selling quickly at $4K and some are bringing as much as $6-7K.

That said, your new KAC is an amazing rifle. I'd love to have one.

Re: I Sold My LMT MWS

I sold my heavy 16" .308, and kept my lighter weight .308. Same practical accuracy, just a couple of pounds lighter. Like my son says "Ounces are pounds, pounds are tons". Now, he's 11B in the 82nd, what does he know?

And, I made a $1k on a used rifle. Call me crazy, I'll do that all day long.

That's my point. Not that I didn't dearly love my LMT. Most bang for the buck, hands down. I was in the .308 game for less than $2400. F me running.

YMMV

Re: I Sold My LMT MWS

Im gladly surprised to not see folks flaming you for making a profit! Everyone seems to be thinking it some kind of sin to make a few bucks selling guns right now?
Hey, if the market is allowing for those kinds of prices and profits, go for it!!

Re: I Sold My LMT MWS

If I had one, or the other, wouldn't have done it. For $2300 +/-, the LMT is impossible to beat. The ONLY thing that I would have done is put a Geisselle trigger in it. Shot < than 1", stud duck build, but as heavy as a fuck, compared to the SR-25, or my JP LRP-07.

How many rifles can I shoot at 1 time?

LMT MWS is Value for the Dollar

SR-25 is Pimp Daddy.

Now, if Lazy21 will sell me one of his USO 1-8X... in red...

And if it fits in a ISMS...

Re: I Sold My LMT MWS

I guess if you have several it would be ok to make some money but I don't think you will ever get another one for the price you sold that one for.

Call me crazy.

oh, the check cleared.

I think original purchase price was $2236...

I just sold a 700$ AR for 1800$ and it looks like the carbine I built for 1200 is going for 2500$ both consignments at a local shop (not Gunjoker).

People are going nuts out there.

Like I said "Ounces are pounds".

Carry it all day. And all night.

Guys, don't get me wrong, I loved my LMT, and it was a very , very hard decision to sell. But, when it buys 1/2 of the scope that you want... and I'm not talking some POS scope.
A friend is in the auto industry, he tells me "Fall in love with the deal, not the car".

Take your head out of the game. "Hard dicks can't see straight.". He has been doing it for over 20 years. The MF drives a Ferrari. I shit you not. And he lives in Georgia, a single dealership Chrysler store.

Again, YMMV.

Your Honor, the State rests.

Thank you, sir.

Re: I Sold My LMT MWS

I bought an LMT based largely on your reviews! Not in lest bit sorry I did either, but I can't say I wouldn't have done the same if I were in your shoes.

Your Knight's is a beauty.

Re: I Sold My LMT MWS

While I sold some gear to get my self an SR25 ECC, it wasn't my mws.

I parted with a scar 16s and a standard m1a to fund the new rifle. Niether of them had been out of the safe in over a year so I figured I might as well get in on the panic action.

Just a question as I truly am ignorant of these matters, but why start bidding at $2000 when the reserve is $4000? I am no auctioneer but have always been curious.

Redhooker,

My theory on that question is that folks using those type auctions are not 100% committed to selling the rifle. They use the bid process under the reserve to judge interest, and then the reserve is the true amount of money they would be willing to take in the event of a sale.

I have always just started the auction at the minimum amount I would be willing to take and let it go from there. This way either I get more than I like or it simply doesn't sell.
