All -

As Rich mentioned, we are starting to gauge interest in a Precision Rifle Club for Texas shooters (and others too!) that would be interested in monthly mini-matches. We are looking to move from range to range, across the state, to host these matches. In order to help our team to plan appropriately, we ask that you fill out the survey linked below.

Texas is a massive state, filled with some of the best shooters in the nation, and we are looking to bring everyone together to further Practical Precision Riflery in Texas...and beyond.

Thanks in advance for the feedback. Looking forward to getting this off the ground!

Best,
Josh

^this!!! you beat me to it.

Re: Tejas Precision Rifle Club

^Agreed. Tejas is a Hasini Indian word meaning 'friends', so I get that all will be friends to some degree, but I prefer Texas.

Re: Texas Precision Rifle Club

Name updated, will also crosspost in rich's thread.

Re: Tejas Precision Rifle Club

I would be interested in coming out to just watch and learn, Looking to learn more about long range shooting. The only bolt guns I currently have are a .22LR and .17 HMR, plan on getting a 308 in the next few months.

The Texas club is up and running. Last I heard there were about 75 or so members. They are having monthly matches and most of the information is posted via a Facebook Group page for the members. I signed up for the club through Adam Williams (SH= GreatGonzo) but I believe the guy to contact now about joining the TPRC is Jonathan Berry. So, you might try emailing him at [email protected]

Re: Texas Precision Rifle Club

I will be sending in an email for information too.
Me and a friend would like to cross over if it will fit in to our Three Gun scheduled.

Re: Texas Precision Rifle Club

info is posted on FB page http://www.facebook.com/TexasPrecisionRifleClub

sign up sheet
see Adam or Great Gonzo for info and sign up.

There is a match near Nocona, Texas (north Texas) this Sunday.November 18. We will get started around 9:00 AM and should be done early afternoon depending on how many shooters we get. You will need 75 rounds. You will need to have a good zero because we will be shooting a cold bore stage at 100 yards. You should be prepared to shoot from 50 yards to 900 yards.

If you are planning on staying in a hotel, I recommend that you either stay in Nocona, or Bowie. The range is about 6 miles west of Nocona and about 18 miles north of Bowie. There is a new bar and more restaurants in Bowie, so the extra drive may be worth it.

on the off chance it works out, then might there be open space at the range if I were to fly in?

Re: Texas Precision Rifle Club

Yes, there will be an open spot.

This will be a fun match and a pretty good train up for the finale for those who qualified.

Re: Texas Precision Rifle Club

Dang! Wish I had seen this thread earlier! At least the matches are getting closer to me. Would be very interested in anything in Abilene, Midland, Lubbock or San Angelo...
