Questions on a gun I ordered. (Dealer Info)

I placed an order with a local gun dealer for a DPMS mini Sass. This was a month ago. We today I was at another gun shop in another town and we were talking about gun sales. After I told him I ordered this Mini Sass from a dealer in my town, he tells me I probably wont get it. He said that DPMS Panther and other manufacturers only sell to distrubuters and my local guy wasnt a large enough dealer to get one.

I really think this dude is full of shit. But it did spur some thoughts of (What if he may be right?) So whats you guys thought on this?

I have a home based FFL and have had dealer status with DPMS for several years. They sell directly to FFLs unless things have changed recently.

Im pretty sure you are still correct. Although it would make sense that manufacturers will prioritize to the highest volume dealers first. I think the dealer that told me this was over exaggerating.
