Has anyone used these, Bushnell Fusion 1600ARC Range Finder Binocular and Swarovski Laser Guide? how did they match up. I have the Sawarovski Laser Guide and they work great, however I like the idea of a binocular and I'm thinking of getting the Fusions.
Any suggestions.

I would like some info on this as well

Re: 12x50 Fusion 1600ARC Range Finder Binocular

I sold my swaro so I could upgrade to the 10x 1600arc binos. The swaro ranged pretty well to a point. They consistently had trouble ranging in bright sun, especially past 1000yd. The glass was great, but they are only 8x, & the fov is small. On the other hand my 1600arc binos have ranged trees in poor weather @ 1860yd. Easily I might add. They are much better @ ranging than the swaro, & the fov is awesome. Glass is real good too. A slight green/blue tinge to it but unless you are looking for it you may not even notice. I went with the 10x over the 12x because of the size of the 12x. I use them for elr shooting, & hunting so size was a real consideration for me.

Re: 12x50 Fusion 1600ARC Range Finder Binocular

This years model supposedly got rid of the green/blue tint. I haven't seen the new model so I can't verify. As Bigwheels said, these range extremely well. I have no problem ranging trees out to 1600yds and deer out to 1000yds. They are well made, don't feel cheap. A little on the heavy side. My only complaint has been the quality of the glass (not bad, just not high end), but for the price I don't think these can be beat. Oh yeah, the new version has a longer range on the ballistic functions. Out to 800yds if memory serves.

Re: 12x50 Fusion 1600ARC Range Finder Binocular

I forgot, the new Fusion models range out to a mile. They are supposed to be priced near what the old ones cost.

Re: 12x50 Fusion 1600ARC Range Finder Binocular

just saw that the new ones will msrp at 999 1100 and 1200 or something close to that the have a 8x 10x and 12x

the 1600 will do a mile +

Re: 12x50 Fusion 1600ARC Range Finder Binocular

Buddy of mine has the 1600 I've ranged 1600+

Re: 12x50 Fusion 1600ARC Range Finder Binocular

Do the new fusions still have the problem seeing the range in sunlight? I sold mine last year because they were worthless (couldn't see range) on any reasonably nice day...

I think that's BS. I've ranged beyond 1800+ yds on the side of a grassy hill in the most bright sunny snow covered day. Set the brightness at 4x and the brightest day I have ever seen could still handle the setting, and toward sunset when things get dim....1 and 2x are adequate for the brightness of the range setting.

I'm very happy with them. I haven't taken them to their max yet but have been 1,200 yard+ and readings are very quick. I feel the additional magnification makes it easier to confirm what your ranging at distance, it's more difficult to accidentally be placed on a nearby target.

The blue tint on the glass is not as noticeable in person as shows up in pictures. I've never felt that it hindered its use in any way. I feel its a completely different experience, especially when coming from a traditional rangefinder.
I'm aware there are better quality, but I have yet to be limited in any way by these.

*When writing this I stepped outside and used them against snow lit up by the morning sun. I had no problem reading the display. There are brighter but I don't feel it's a major weakness. It might be nice if there was one higher setting to make it pop more under certain conditions but I can still read it each time.

New Milers have brighter settings, Old 4 setting is new 2 roughly on the display. Blue is Gone, pretty good set of Binos with a laser inside

Re: 12x50 Fusion 1600ARC Range Finder Binocular

I saw the video for those. They look very nice, i would assume their release will drive down street prices of the original fusion line.

Any idea if they're using the glass from the Elite binoculars in the new model? As i understand, that's the only step up in glass Bushnell already has (unless they developed something new and specific for this line)

What I'd like to know is what is the smallest target you can get a reading off of. Can you get a range from a 12" plate at 800 to 1000? My expectations may be too high. Where I shoot most of the time is a long levee and there are no features on that levee other than the steel plate.

I would assume that would be too much of a limitation in target size, maybe a silhouette?. I believe that the fusions have a beam divergence of 2 x 4 mils (7.2" x 14.4" at 100 yards). Being large, I'm not sure what % or portion of the beam must be reflected for an accurate reading. I have yet to push mine to their limits, so I have yet to see how small they can pickup at distance. Having the more powerful magnification to be able to pick up distant targets was one of the reasons I decided to get these. I'm curious what they're capable of in that respect.

Also, In addition to regular scan and brush mode, they do have a setting (bullseye) that reads and displays the closest object that the beam reflects off of. The different modes really do work. Without brush on, I've had reading that have been read accidently from small branches one would even think would register. I actually recently bought a doubler to try to extend the view, unfortunately I just haven't had the opportunity to really push things. Hopefully will have the chance soon. Maybe someone else has already found that limitation... I haven't seen it anywhere

thats 1 problem i had with them.. i sent in a older 1500y model.. they would not warranty it, they said it was dropped.. funny, not a single scratch on the unit...

after much bitching, they fixed it.. then i tossed them on ebay...

Re: 12x50 Fusion 1600ARC Range Finder Binocular

I compared the my Fusion 12X50 to my 8x30 laser guides on several occasions under bright sunny conditions and overcast days. On bright sun and snow conditions the laser guides performed flawlessly easy to read the distances, the Fusions were useless nether my son or I could read the distances. Under overcast conditions the Fusions were great and I really liked them. However I returned the Fusions because of not being able to read them under bright sunny conditions. Most of our shots during hunting is between 600 - 1500 yards with most shots around 1000 yards.

Mine seem to work just fine in bright conditions. And I can't resist your last part... most of your hunting shots are around 1k yards? You must be quite the hunter and enjoy packing out game... or you're plunking gophers.

Re: 12x50 Fusion 1600ARC Range Finder Binocular

I have the 12x50's and they have never missed a beat. Got a cow over 1600. My friend was ranging a buzzard flying around between 450 and 700, I thought that was interesting. No buyers remorse here at all.

Re: 12x50 Fusion 1600ARC Range Finder Binocular

I have Fusion 10X50 LRFs and do find them a bit difficult to read in our Mojave Desert sunny conditions but that's corrected with a push of the left button.

These binos are worth every penny, well, at least the $650. I paid as a customer service discount price when my Bushnell Laser Pro 1000 LRF went bad.

These binos coupled with the Horus/Kestrel 4500NV weather & ballistic calculator are all you need for fast and accurate UKD firing solutions.
