off topic electrical engineer question

Re: off topic electrical engineer question

Slide of hand trick both times watch real close.
There is no such thing as free energy.
On this rock, In the absent of heat there is cold, that is why all engines are heat engines. Without heat there would be no wind, and if you run that logic out, no moving water or other sources of "Free" movement as well.

Re: off topic electrical engineer question

Just to jump in here first. There is no such thing as perpetual motion. Doesn't happen. Energy is never lost but it is not created from nothing. If I had to guess (and I am going to) inside that piece of wood he has the other side of those nails connected to a battery.

Re: off topic electrical engineer question

I am an electrical engineer who spent the better part of last decade designing magnetic position sensors and brushless permanent-magnet motors. There is no such thing as a magnetic monopole, at least not on a scale typically observable by humans. My understanding of quantum mechanics is weak, but I believe that there is a hypothesized elementary particle that forms a monopole; however, that's not the sort of thing which will show up on a Youtube video

Re: off topic electrical engineer question

Thanks guys! I am going to build it (I have an 8 y/o son who is dying to replicate it). I'll try to power it with an AA battery.
