Re: 70's striper

That is some fine eating! Couple more months and they'll make their way up the Roanoke River here in town and it'll be mass hysteria at the boat ramp!

Love me some Striper or "Rock Fish" as we call it.
Cool pic!

Re: 70's striper

Re: 70's striper

Re: 70's striper

I have fished the Washita and the Red coming into Lake Texoma. There are not many like that in there now. They say when Texoma went over the spillway in that flood a few yrs ago a big number of big striper went over. Great fun to catch.

Re: 70's striper

i used to fish below the denison dam with a friend of mine

they blew the sirens to release the water and he got sucked out into the river and nearly drowned

Re: 70's striper

Re: 70's striper

Nice fish! We striper fish here on Lake Norfork in Mountain Home, AR. Lots of good healthy fish here. Average is about 14lbs and get as big as 50lbs +.

Re: 70's striper

I have a few guide friends on Texoma and they have got into some big fish this year. One day they got a 22, 25, and 27lber. They have not caught fish like that in years.
