I'm new to reloading and just want to reconfirm something. I want to tumble some 9mm, 308, and .223 brass but what do you think is this tumbler's capacity?

I'm guessing around 350 cases of 9mm, around 200 cases .308, and around 200 cases of .223? Of course each caliber at a different time and not all of those at the same time.

Re: Question about the Lyman Turbo 1200

That sounds about right. I've had a 1200 for over 20 years, but doesn't get used as much since I have two 2500's. BTW either of those three calibers could be tumbled together I don't think the 223 case would fit inside the 9mm and get stuck. I know it wouldn't with the 308. It's cases that will fit inside each other that you don't want to mix in the tumbler.

Sounds good Iron Man,

I'll try this out this weekend. I have some range brass that needs tumbling.

Should I tumble the brass and then resize to take the primer out and then clean out the primer pocket?

Re: Question about the Lyman Turbo 1200

I haven't cleaned a primer pocket in over 20 years.

I only run about 80 to 100pcs of 223 in mine at a time. You can put more 9mm. The more cases you try the more time it takes.
