BT-08 monopod help

I just received an Accu-Shot BT-08QK monopod for my aics 2.0.
I think I am doing something wrong.
The monopod is rotating after installation, and the monpod if falling left or right, making the stock of the rifle drop from underneath it.
Is it suppossed to be this way. I can not lock it into a position so the monopod does not move. I am pretty sure it should lock somehow, unless its stripped.
Need some advice please...Thank you.

The mono pod should be up tight to the stock.

I have viperskins, so looks like I have to cut them to fit the monopod?
Unless I get the V2 Precision Skins..I just saw them.
So pretty much the skins lock the monopod from rotating left and right?
I am gonna kick myself in the ass because I know this is simple, but I am not getting it.

I'm not familar with how the viper skins fit.

Tighten the lower butt pad bolt tight, then use the socket head fastener that's part of the BT08, to tighten it to the stock. Should tighten between 7-20 rotations, if it doesn't then shorten the bolt.

accu-shot told me i need this part to instal on my AICS 1.5 but they won't give me specific instructions. they said take it to your gun-smith. looks like you just have to get this and do a little skin-cutting to get it on there.

You need the V2 rear skins to be compatible with the monopod without modifying anything.

If you have a 'real' AI AICS skin then you need the part you linked above. However, you have viperskins so it is different.

If you want to continue to use the skins you have now, you need to shorten the bolt, a dremel will do it but use a good wheel as the bolt is VERY strong.

If you want to not have to modity anything, you need the V2 viperskin rears. $60 I think.
