Yep, that is what glaciers do. Once ice covered all the way down to Texas and Personally I am glad it is not here anymore. By the way the only thing Al Whore is interested in is money to pay his electric bill which is 10 or 20 times the average family in the U.S.
Wow . all that Ice & water power displaced and moving .
At the end of the ' LAST ' Ice Age . That is what cut and formed the majority of the Columbia River Gorge over here in the North West between Oregon & Washington state with flooding & cutting complete passage through the Cascade Mountain range .

When I was a little kid, in the 1980s some old timers told stories about Black Rapids Glacier, one of the guys said that you can literally see it move, it would lurch. It went all the way down to the road then back up again, they said.
I hate hippies and how they act like since it was that way once, it must always be that way.
All it taught me, was never, take the temptation to walk on one, ever.
Very cool video. Lived in AK for 8 1/2 years and saw many beautiful glaciers and the valleys they leave behind. Got to watch one of the coastal glaciers calve one time and it was amazing. Hard to put the scale of them into perspective until you watch the large chunks breaking free and have to wait 3 or so seconds to hear the cracking noises. Sounds like thunder.
