Its pretty much sold out everywhere.. Order some online from places like Powder Valley and just wait/hope they will fill your backorder quickly.

I happened to stumble upon some last week at Neuse Sport Shop in Kinston NC. I bought all they had because I haven't been able to find any locally or online.

i emailed hodgdon about the varget supply, and got back a flip response that as soon as the panic buying ends, you can get some. thanks a lot for pointing out the obvious. screw them, will work up a load for the 8lbs of wc846 in the cabinet.

it is just so frustrating to try and get anything the last month. went to bassproshop twice in the last couple of weeks, and their shelves are empty of powder, and reloading stuff in general. cant see paying the hazmat fees for a lb of powder.

I am amazed at how crazy things have gotten, I used to be able to receive an order from Brownells or Midway in a few days, now it takes over a week, if they even have it in stock...

The deal on Varget, as I understand it, is that it is not being made/imported at this time. Hodgdon had large quantities of it made, and it wasn't selling fast enough, so it became cheap to buy, (supply/demand), and now that it hasn't been made for a bit, and the feeding frenzy on buying components, it isn't available. It should be available again, but it may be a bit before it is.

Yes, I use Varget in my 5.56. I also have heard the same story from several suppliers---not retailers. Maybe you could verify your facts before you attack some one who is trying to help you.

I could believe what your saying with some powders but varget becomes hard to find even in non chaotic times because PEOPLE USE THE SHIT OUT OF IT!
