Thanks

Re: Buffer tube kits

The Spikes kits are mostly using the ST-T2 buffers. They're pretty sought after right now.

Re: Buffer tube kits

All the top "mil spec" buffer tubes and kits are all crazy because there manufacturer's are out of stock on them. Individuals owning them are selling them at crazy prices bases on supply and demand. If you go onto BCM, Vltor, Spikes, PSA etc. Web sites their prices have stayed the same but "not in stock " so you can't order it. I just picked up a Bravo Company kit for $130 which beats some of the prices for that same kit hitting $175, the Bravo Company site still shows them selling it for $57.95 BUT not in stock http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=STOCK+HARDWARE+KIT

Re: Buffer tube kits

So whats so special about the st-t2 buffer ? And i agree the hording and shortage has got some items at rediculouse prices!

Re: Buffer tube kits

Tungsten powder instead of sliding weights, feels smoother to me, reliability/operational-wise, nothing, does the same job, I would not pay substantially more for it.

Spike's marketing claim is reduced carrier bounce, which is not an actual issue unless you're shooting full auto. Regardless of it being a non issue for most there are claims and a video that could very easily be faked that it does not reduce bounce.

Re: Buffer tube kits

I ordered two of their st-t2 buffers from spike's tactical website a couple days ago and they were in stock and shipped immediately. Got them today, works great in my POF-415.
Brownells has 3 packs of their chrome silicone buffer springs in stock for about $12.
As far as buffer tubes go, I don't need one so I haven't a clue as to where to find them.

Good luck

Re: Buffer tube kits

If your looking for a good, true mil spec buffer tube you better jump on this while there in stock http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BCM+Milspec+Receiver+Extension
It's the Bravo Company mil spec model, to get a spring for it look in the for sale forum for a fell called Kentucky Jelly, hes selling what looks to be a good buffer spring for $10~$12 dollars, you would be only $50 into the start of a good setup
just a buffer, castle nut and end plate.

Re: Buffer tube kits

FWIW, if you buy your stock from Rainier Arms, they have a special for a full buffer tube kit (tube, spring, buffer, end plate, castle nut) for $70 or so. You can only get it if you purchase a stock from them as well though.

Re: Buffer tube kits

I ordered a Spike's Tactical Pistol Buffer tube assembly on the 9th from Delta3tactical...but I'm still waiting because they were waiting on the T-2 to come in.

Re: Buffer tube kits

Palehorse good luck with the circus at delta3. I talked to d.t. he told me the parts was in stock gokng to ship the next day that was the week of christmas. I cant get through email or cell phone.

If you want the best buffer tube money can buy, I'd recommend taking a look at the VLTOR A5 system. I used it in a recent build (only turned out to be about a $30-40 upgrade if I remember correctly) and it's pretty remarkable how smooth it shoots. It's a 7 position tube, which is cool in and of itself because adjustments are somewhat finer, but what's really nice is that the 1/2" or so of extra length basically gives you the benefits of a rifle-length buffer tube, but you can use it with an upper in any gas system configuration (in my case a 14.5" barrel with mid-length gas).
