Rifle Scopes Long Rang Optic options. Compare SWFA 5-20x50 $2K

Still trying to find an optically badass scope to mate to my .308. I really want to buy used. Will not use much and just don't need to rub the new off anything. However, the SWFA 5-20x50 is very hard to come by used at any real deal so I am wondering if there are other comparables I should consider?

here is my requirements
FFP
30mm tube
at least 20x
mil dot or comparable reticle
illum preferred but may go without
50mm glass minimum.

For $2k the Vortex Razor HD,

It's FFP

I saw that and the NF NXS side by side yesterday and the Razor monkey stomped the NXS.

In its price range the SS 5-20x50 is definitely one to consider.

Weaver Tactical 5-20 Mildot FFP or Bushnell Elite Tactical 6-24x50 FFP in illuminated mildot or G2DMR come in at well under a grand.

The G2DMR model is pictured as illuminated but it is not. Far more useful reticle, though, and my pick of the 3.

Check the classifieds here for a used USO or Vortex Razor. Nothing wrong with a used scope. All the high end companies have pretty stand up warranties and customer service.

16x is more than enough for a 308 (IMHO). Steiner 4-16x50 $2,300 MAP!
