Our Hunting with Suppressor Bill made it out of the House Committee.

Time for us to get to work and call/write/e-mail our respective Representatives and demand they vote to allow hunting with suppressors in our state.

Re: Wyoming suppressor users

Good luck to all you WY guys. We not only sent emails but showed up in their offices and talked to those we thought would support the bill. It was stressful. It helped that the NRA sent representation to support it.

Re: Wyoming suppressor users

We passed it hear in Oklahoma and I like. Being from Wyoming and hunting there 1 to 2 times a year I would love to be able to use it.

WYOMING: HUNTING WITH SUPPRESSORS BILL SIGNED INTO LAW New Law Goes Into Effect July 1, 2013

The American Silencer Association is pleased to announce that on February 18, Governor Matt Mead signed SF0132 into law, granting hunters in the state of Wyoming the right to use legally owned suppressors while hunting all varmint, big game, and trophy animals. The new law will also legalize the possession of suppressors “anywhere where game may occur”, eliminating an ambiguous interpretation of the law by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department which made it unclear whether it was previously legal to use suppressors at outdoor shooting ranges. However, it is important to note that under the new law landowners may restrict the use of suppressors on private land.

Time for a Thunder Beast...

What happened to the amendment where you couldn't hunt big and trophy game? Did that get voted down?

Kraig,

It was stripped out of the Third reading by a majority vote on an amendment from the Speaker of the House, Tom Lubnau from Gillette.

Thanks, that's good to hear.

Not to brag but my senator was the dude who introduced the bill.

Nice! I will be in the Bridger Tetons this fall, I will bring the can! Hopefully they get the wolf thing figured out AGAIN!!! Goddamn tree-huggers!

Awesome! Just got my backpack mulie hunt finalized in the Bridger Teton region and I will be packing a can!

If you make a kill with a can, let us know if a grizzly responded or not.
I've recommended G&F do study on that.

Ive sent email recomondations to the DF&G and stopped in and talked to them and was told "we will have to get back to you".....never have though.
Ive asked for the new suppressor updates to the DF&G web site and never got a answer back on that either.

Our next big move needs to be able to use Night Vision scopes for coyotes at night!

Yeah, that would be cool, even for the big bad wolves!!!

We can hunt Coyotes and Mountain Lions with NV gear here in Nevada.

Thats a great point. I will let you know how it works out for me. Im hoping not to have a significant emotional experience during/after the hunt due to grizzlies...
