New AICS Chassis System, What Bi-Pod Should I Use?

I just got a new AICS 2 system for my Remmy 700 SPS and love the stock. I am looking to add some goodies to it (knurled cheek weld screws, mono pod, bi-pod, etc) and have been looking at some bi-pods for the system. AICS bi-pods are nice, and I like the way they mount forward of the stock, but $350 is a little steep. I have seen some bi-pods made for the AICS by Accushot (Atlas) and Versa-Pod but was wondering how good they are. Does anyone have any advice on a good bi-pod that uses the AICS bi-pod spigot?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a couple atlas bipods and that is all I use

Atlas with the AI spigot mount. Mile High Shooting Accessories has them in stock and gives a 5% Sniper's Hide discount. I switched from a Harris to an Atlas, I will never look back. It is on a whole other level!

Re: New AICS Chassis System, What Bi-Pod Should I Use?

I use an Atlas with Spigot mount so it mounts just like an AICS bipod its a great setup!

Re: New AICS Chassis System, What Bi-Pod Should I Use?

Atlas gets a lot of love here. Would definitely go that route vs the AI bipod.

I know your looking to use the spigot, but the good ol' Harris swivel with notches has always worked beautifully with my AICS rigs for a lot less $.

So what do you guys think about the Atlas Bi-Pods?

Just kidding. I will definitely check them out. I have a couple of Harris Bi-Pods on some other setups, but will definitely look at the Atlas. Thanks guys!

OK, got my Atlas B-Pod AND Quick release Mono-Pod ordered! I keep finding cool "extras" for my AICS and am going broke quickly. I also ordered a set of Viper Skins.
Thanks again to everyone for the advice.

This is perfect as I need to order my setup. How do we take advantage of the Snipers Hide discount?

I ordered my bipod from Mile High and if I remember correctly I made a note on the internet order and they did give me the discount. I could not find a monopod in stock anywhere that offered the hide discount. I ended up ordering a quick release model from a site called ArmsUnlimited.com.
Hope this helps.

Am I correct Atlas only makes one length of legs? Anyone run into this not being long enough?

Re: New AICS Chassis System, What Bi-Pod Should I Use?

I got my Atlas bidod today and I must say that I am impressed. I have two Harris bipods and like them, but you guys were right, the Atlas is awesome. I really like the quick adjustments that you can make on it, and it is really solid construction. It is definitely built to last. The mono-pod is VERY cool too. It has the "Quick Knob" that allows you to adjust the height with the push of a button rather than having to thread the leg up/down to adjust the height. They were a little pricey (about twice what the Harris setup goes for) but it was a good purchase.
Thanks for all of the good advice guys!

Does the monopod fit your stock or are you going to have to cut it liky I posted about in a different thread?

Well, they are made to fit the AI chassis system, but I purchased the Viperskins. I also purchased the V2 Precision Rear Skins that look like they come with an existing hole for the monopod.

Great advice guys! With the leg extensions it makes it like an all-in-one customizable bipod. Very well made. Thanks for the advice.

I just wanted to follow up on this post. I have purchased the leg extensions for the bipod because I like the idea of having the flexibility in height (especially used in conjunction with the mono-pod). I am still really impressed with the Atlas system. You can purchase SO many optional accessories for it. I have to give kudos to the people at Mile High too. They were awesome to deal with, the price was reasonable, items shipped fast and after I placed two seperate orders they combined them for me to save me on shipping. That is GREAT customer service. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
Just thought I would pass this on.
