stainless or Melonite

I'm going to do a 20 inch ar. I've been reading a little on both barrels. which one do you guys suggest. the riffle will be used as a coyote/ prairie dog gun.

If you like the look, stainless. If you don't mind the black color and the prices are close, melonite. If it's a lot more to get the melonite than I wouldn't worry about it for a yote gun. It's not the miracle effect people claim, but it's not snake oil either. If it's worth it to YOU, go for it. But for your use it's not necessarily needed.

Melonite treated barrels will last a lot longer than stainless.
Stainless barrels are soft 38-42 rockwell, Melonite barrels surface is 60-70 rockwell.
