Nice shooting. How do you like the savage ? have you done much to it or is it pretty much out of the box ? I have been looking at the long range Hunter in 6.5x284 most guys seem to like them but not many people test them to this kind of distance.

I really like the Savage, all I have done to it is put a 30 moa ken ferrell base on it and topped that with a 5.5-22x56 nightforce scope. I like this rifle more and more every time I shoot it!

Any suggestions for someone who is a relatively new long range shooter who just got a Savage 110 FCP HS in .338 LM? I would think the barrel and action are the same. I am going to start load development eventually whenever I can actually get the reloading supplies and they are not on backorder.

Main thing is to start with Lapua brass. I'm going to reload soon with berger 300gr otm and h1000 powder.

Nice shot man! Always fun shooting somthing that makes sound or does somthings kind cool. Makes me want to get back to some long range stuff, been messing with new shotgun.
10-4 on the 300gr SMK. And for sure on the lapua brass, the rest of brands sticks under any pressure. I got to say they are some good flying bullets. I'v been out to a mile with my 110 ba and 300gr SMK.
I'v been saving some milk jugs just for that same thing,lol think im going to put some blue and red food color in them and have a friendly competition with some friends.
