Does anyone know what is going on over there? Placed an order on12/17/12. Received a recipt that day. Logged in a week later to see if order shipped. Order history says waiting to be processed. Decied to give them a call on the 28th and finally got a real person to tell me that the shipping would be going out the week after Christmas. Checked again today and order status has not changed. Now I can't get through. Busy signal. Sent them an email last week haven't gotten a responce.

If parts are on BO that's fine, I can look elsewhere. Don't want to be ordering duplicate parts and be part of what's going on.

Thanks

Re: Model 1 Sales

I met the team at Model 1 Sales down at the Knob Creek shoot earlier this year. Nice enough people, but it looks like a family-run business. Lots of moms and teenagers running their booth.

My guess is that they (like everyone else) are overwhelmed by the current political climate, and they aren't doing as good a job as others with their customer service.

Keep trying, and stay patient. That's about all the love you're going to get these days.

Re: Model 1 Sales

did an order with them about the same time as you did cajunshooter. got an email confirmation and to this date still no tracking/shipping/out of stock nothing. it's hard to do buisiness like that i don't care how swamped they are. i haven't been able to get in contact with them at all.

Re: Model 1 Sales

I ordered a few... yep, Pmags from them around Christmas. Same story here .

I will post here if I hear anything or my stuff shows up.

When you figure out where to go elsewhere to find your pending inbound
parts, let us know.. Because the sources currently are nil..

I have dealt with Model 1 before, they are good people..

Re: Model 1 Sales

I've only done business with them on small parts and misc. in person at the MGS like what glock24 mentioned, so I can't comment on their CS and/or online orders. While it isn't an excuse for poor CS or otherwise not being honest/up front with customers, these are CRAZY times right now and even the large outfits with staff 10x (or more) what M1S has are having CS issues. Hell, companies like Fulton Armory (just one example) have completely shut off their websites and phone lines until further notice until they can get orders processed, squared away, and shipped. Add to the top of the current craziness the fact that a lot of folks have been off work for the holidays over the last week or so and getting hit with online orders while away and its a recipe for backlogs and far less than ideal customer service from even the best, most well-staffed outfits...much less smaller operations like M1S.

Just keep after them and hopefully, you'll be able to get some straight answers, as well as your order, soon. Might as well be patient with them because unless you pay through the nose on BARFCOM or GunBroker...you aren't likely to find parts/accessories/etc. in stock right now anyway.

Re: Model 1 Sales

Between my brother and myself we have ordered five kits from Model 1 sales. They seem to work. 1 6.8 spc, 1 6.5 sporter, and the rest in .223. Two of the .223 are heavy barreled prairie dog guns and both hold about .75 MOA. My brother just had a 7.62x39 kit that came in two days after the Conn. tragedy and he had to wait for 6 weeks for it. So, before the buying frenzy the wait was 6 weeks, now you can only imagine what the wait is going to be. Good luck with your order.

Re: Model 1 Sales

The wait im good with if I could just find out something. I understand how weird things are right now.

Re: Model 1 Sales

I ordered the week before Christmas. Their phone line is always busy, I've sent a few emails to them and they have not responded.

I'm just wanting to know if they will process my order or not. I ordered 25 Pmags for $18. When the order placed they said they had them in stock....

Re: Model 1 Sales

I haven't tried contacting them but I was just wondering if anybody has heard anything or received their stuff from any orders around Christmas.

same here

Re: Model 1 Sales

me and a buddy have an order in with the for some pmags and a few weeks back he finally got them on the phone to talk to her about them. she said they were insanely swamped but that they were trying to get things shipped as soon as possible. That was 3 weeks ago... nothing in the mail and havent heard from em since. probably just hundreds of orders if not thousands. Thats tough to deal with.

Re: Model 1 Sales

My order was placed on 12-21 and no word of any kind. At this point i'd just like to cancel but can't get anyone via phone or email...

Anyone have any different numbers other than the one listed on the site??

Thanks

Re: Model 1 Sales

I have been dealing w/ them for years. Durnging the first ban
And before. They never got in a big rush @ anytime.
I'm sure they r covered up "big time" w/ all that's going on.
I would just hold back, and and wait. I know that they get agravated
When people call them over and over. I'm sure their phone is blowing up!
Calling just makes a bad thing worse. They r good people just over there
Head w/ orders. I'm sure they will come through, it's just going to take longer
Than normal.

They clearly list 1-8 twist barrels

Re: Model 1 Sales

Re: Model 1 Sales

From what the guys at their booth said at the last gunshow I was at, all of their inventory is going to shows right now. They had hundreds of mags, uppers, barrels, and parts kits at heavily inflated prices. PMAGS were $45, Lancers were $45, HKs $125, parts kits for $150, uppers were generally up $100-300 depending on configuration, stocks were up $20-50.

I asked about ordering online at normal prices and they would not give me any indication of when things might ship.

I can't fault a business for wanting to capitalize on market conditions but the fact that they obviously have inventory in the company while there is a huge back log of orders to fill is a little shady to me.

Re: Model 1 Sales

Thanks for the update. If or when I get my order, I'll have to think long and hard before ordering from them in the future. Shame that the company acts like that, if that's what there doing!

Thank you for loaning us your money to do this, we appreciate your business"

It will be nice if/when they do show up for the price they were but I don't think I have ever heard of that happening. Long waits for decent prices are one thing but it sucks to think they are selling mags that they have already sold... months ago, if that is what they are doing

Re: Model 1 Sales

loser's in my book for no communication well after 1 month of order. i will bad talk them to everyone i get the chance to

I have had 12 sets on order with them from 11-21-12 they said 8-10 week but I just got 2 sets in today I ordered 12-6-12. they are hammared I cant even get through to Paul up there. But I did get 2 - 300 blk out uppers in today that where custom set ups. They are really way behind and the phone is off the hook internet orders only and you are prob 4-6 months now.

I was at a mother gun show in Ft Worth last weekend, and they still had inventory one everything at the show. Prices are still up but it seems like the buying craze is slowing down. Over priced inventory everywhere and nothing but ammo moving.

It would be nice if they emailed to let everyone know what is up. I ordered mags in early december and put in the notes to call me if these were not in stock. I am in no hurry and dont mind waiting but now with the laws soon to change here in Colorado I have a new urgency to get the mags soon.
I understand everyone has been going crazy but times like these let me know who I should be spending my money with when everything settles down.

I almost forgot about the mags I ordered from these people in December.

I still have nothing and haven't heard back on any of my emails. Sure as shit took my order and my money for the mags though.

Its been 6 months without an answer to any emails asking for some kind of a response much less a refund.

Has anyone received thief stuff or a reply?
