Several of my friends and I bought Remington 700 SPS-V's at Dicks on Black Friday. They were $450, but there was also a $100 mail in rebate from Remington. We were all talking about it a few days ago wondering about the rebate. Did anyone else get the same deal? Have you gotten your check yet? Any similar experience? I figured 2 months minimum, but my friends are starting to get antsy.

I suggest you guys just chill out and wait. I bought a 700 from Dick's in Sept. with a similar offer but for less than $100. I just received it a couple weeks ago. If I recall correctly, the offer even stated a min if 10-12 weeks, but that might just be my CRS talking...

Well, I'm not making any promises. I don't work for Dicks or shill for Dicks. I just know how my deal went down and think that it's likely close to what you can expect. I do know that I wondered if I had been screwed before my rebate came through, so don't blame any of you for thinking the same thing.

I got my notice today that they both (Dicks & Rem ) had been denied because I did not send the qualifying documentation. They BOTH required the receipt and the proof of purchase sticker. I sent the originals to Remington and photo copies to the Dicks address. I also- my rebates were 50 from Remington and 40 from Dicks. 90 dollars, not the 100 as advertized....

Just checked my rebate status, it said "Your submission has been processed and your response has been mailed. You should receive it by <span style="font-weight: bold">March 9, 2013</span>. If by this date you have not received your response, please contact us at 1-800-953-3098. Thank you."

Very funny...I was just thinking about posting something like this. I go to the mailbox every day after work wondering if this will be the day. Not that it's that big of a deal after dropping the cash on all the upgrades for this rifle but a deal is a deal right?

Bought my Dicks rebated 700 ADL sps Var on 10-09-12. Had about gave up on them($50 check and a $50 gift card). The gift card showed up 3 weeks ago and the check showed up last week. So hang in there. PS only one required the proof of purchase sticker from the owners manual.And Dicks printed me out 4 receipts!

I went through this two yrs ago. I waited 4 months before going online to check the status only to find no info. Called several nos. that I was given and was told that the upc code I bought wasn't part of the rebate. I even called corporate. Finally called the store and all of a sudden, the manager gave me a $50 gift card. Then I also was given a $20 gift card. A few days latter I received a call and was told I had 2 rebate checks in the mail, one from Dick's ($50) and one from Remington ($40) for a total of $160 off. So my Black Friday rifle cost me $289. Not too shabby for little whining.

Thanks for the link RTO... Feb 23. I've got my Rem 700 action laying around somewhere, after this 100 bux comes in, the action will have cost me maybe 150 bucks. I should have bought 2.
