Has anyone had personal experience with a 16" .308 POF? Pros & cons? Thanks in advance!

Yes a. 308 so pardon the pun but most "bang" for the buck compared to other piston. 308's?

Yes. POF has the best piston design on the market, which utilizes no springs and thereby eliminating a possible point of failure. They are known to be half moa shooters if the loose but behind the trigger does their part. Additionally, they are very easy to clean and the heat sink barrel nut prevents overheating.
The POF .308 I have now is my second and I wouldn't trade it for any other rifle; not even a GAP-10.

I have 2 POFs who's accuracy rivals that of its DI counterparts that are "known" for accuracy.
People have shot my 14.5" and gotten 3/8" accuracy from factory ammo out of it.
Both my 16, and 14.5" are easily sub-1/2 MOA rifles and flawlessly in reliability.

I'm not a big AR guy, but have a Hogan H308-18 (used to be the sister company to POF, very similar rifle) and couldn't be happier. Great rifle and excellent customer service.

I Love my P308. It is the 20" barrel but shoots like a dream. I did have one problem with the spent case spinning 180 degrees in the chamber and getting jammed by the following round. I took pics and sent them in an email to POF. I was called that day and sent upper to them. The guys at POF said "you spent a lot of money for this rifle, let us fix it for you." The tech guys fixed it stating it was cycling "too fast" then next day and it was back at the house 2 days later in a brand new POF hard case. Very fast turn around and a note from Cody De Somma sating what was done. No problems since. I know other guys have not had such good experience with their customer service, but the did right by me.
As far as groups, I am getting 1MOA with standard mil surplus ammo, and a little better with Federal Match. This gun will out shoot me all day everyday.
With that said I have a P415 16" 5.56, a POF 14.5" 6.8 SPC II upper only and a POF P308 20". Really like the line of rifles and will stick with them.

No doubt the POF is a good design. But the PWS piston system does not use any springs either. Mine is the 16" model and it shoots sub-moa. However, it is not easily suppressed but I still love it.

I get excellent results from my 16" POF. It shoots both 168gr and 175gr match ammo very well. Also very accurate with 175/180 gr hunting ammo. Reliable and accurate...one of my go to rifles for hog hunting.
