If I buy a crusader, will I be able to use the longer alpha mag for a 6.5 creedmoor?

2.965 for the type II vs. 2.850 for the type I standard style.

Forgive me for being specific, but do they work with the LONGER oal (2.965) alpha mags?

Thank you,

The outside of the mag is the same. The interior space is the only thing that is changing. And since the Templar action is both AW and AICS compatible.... yes they will all work.

I realize the outside of the mag dimension remains the same, but for some of the descriptions in the magazines they say a remington action needs to have its feed ramp modified. I do not know if it is the same dimension for the GA precision action, and sometimes it takes a few days to get a response from them. I know they are very busy and thought if someone here could answer it would be easier and faster.

Thanks,

Just throwing it out there, but does anyone have photos of their GAP rifles in the box it came in?

I am looking at ordering a M40A5 and getting it delivered to Australia (not an easy process) and I need to know what GA Precision ship their rifles in.

Cardboard box? Hard case?

Thanks.

Here's mine. It's my first precision rifle ever, bought it used here off the hide. Decided to jump into the sport head first!

A Crusader in 6.5 creedmoor, topped with a Steiner 5-25x56mm w/msr reticle.

Horrible photo I know, I'll have to get some better pictures one of these days.

Couldn't have jumped in head first with a better float then that setup :)
Congrats, it's addicting.

I've already found out how addicting it is, I have another rifle on the way, this one in .308 flavor. I actually ordered the .308 before I bought this rifle, from another very well respected smith on the hide. Bought this GAP to hold me over in the mean time, I knew that I wanted a 6.5 creedmoor and a good deal came up here on the hide.
