Hey everyone I bought a rifle and came with the scope mentioned in subject and I had a question about the Y turret on the left side of the scope as I dont know what its for. I know the other turrets but not sure what this ones for. I've tried looking up the details of the scope but still no clue what it's for. It's marked 20-200 and infinite. Thanks for any help

It sounds like it came on a rifle he bought.

Re: NC Star 6x24x50 scope

It is suggested that you place the scope against something firm (like a 2X4) to avoid marring the finish.</div></div>

Isn't NC Star stuff for airsoft rifles?

Re: NC Star 6x24x50 scope

Before I knew better I bought an ar 15 combo pack. 3-9 "tactical" Scope, flashlight, green laser, vertical foregrip, and quad rail. All ncstar. This combo turned my ar into an 11 pound boat anchor (just guessing the weight). The scope got replaced by the factory and sold along with the quad rail. Laser died and flashlight was only good enough to give to my kid. The only thing I still have is the vertical grip. It's too heavy to use. I use it to collect dust. I will never buy a product from ncstar again. Good luck bud. Just my advice sell it, if cheap is what you need, look at the tasco world class line of scopes.

Re: NC Star 6x24x50 scope

Ditto on ncstar being crap. I once bought a compact for my Mini and couldn't get it to keep a zero. The scope from my sons bb gun at least held zero and had better glass, it was a powerline or some crap like that. Never again will I own anything with ncstar on it.

Straight outta the manual

Re: NC Star 6x24x50 scope

Mehh im looking for a scope to go for my savage 110 ba something like a sightron , it would be an insult to slap something like ncstar on it. As for lasers and lights I go with Barska, made off with a 5 mw green laser and a 210 lumen flashlight with tactical grip for around $130 bucks during black friday sales.

Re: NC Star 6x24x50 scope

not on my end anyway, was a serious question to start with.

Re: NC Star 6x24x50 scope

Rip off the NC Star bull shit and just throw that turd in the trash. Forget Sightron and every other POS $150 scope you know of and prepare yourself to spend at least $600 on a scope.

Once you complete those steps let us know and we'll assist you further.

I'm sure all those people just left good reviews for no reason. </div></div>

There is a subforum near the top of the list called Sniper's Hide Rifle Scopes. I <span style="font-weight: bold">HIGHLY</span> suggest you head into there and start reading.

Oh and if you are satisfied with the reviews left by random hilljacks on Midway's review section why are you asking the question here?

Re: NC Star 6x24x50 scope

I don't believe you can read in the first place, I simply asked a question about a turret on the side of a scope I received for free on a rifle I bought. I just mentioned a sightron and you stated ncstar and sightron is a pos so therefore Im simply pointing out that your statement is an opinion.

Lol... You should really look at Counter Sniper then...

Re: NC Star 6x24x50 scope

Keep the ncstar, buy a barska, trade into a huskemaw, and save up for a countersniper. Once you have all for shoe goo them together making the best optic on the planet called a huskemarskastar

Re: NC Star 6x24x50 scope

Give the guy a break. Yes, the scope sucks but it's what he has. Stop with the BS. He will do his research and deal with his budget.

edited to add, I've seen $500 Sightron scopes hold their zero and track like an indian. They're not my first choice overall but if I only had $600 to spend I could be confident in it.
