Building a 6.5 Grendel, it will be an SI Defense billet lower with a PRS stock holding up an Alexander Arms GSR upper (IF I ever get it, they don't seem to respond to emails all I want is an update letting me know whether or not I have been forgotten about, but..)anyways what trigger would you guys suggest? Maybe a Geissele SD-3G Super Dynamic 3 Gun Trigger 3.5LB? What do you guys recommend?

Re: trigger for 6.5 Grendel

I have a Geissele SD-E in my 6.5 Creedmoor and love it.

Re: trigger for 6.5 Grendel

the 3 gun trigger has more of a long smooth roll to it. it was made to shoot fast. I have the geissele dmr trigger in my grendel and it's fantastic. 3 pound first stage and breaks like an icicle with a 1.5 pound second stage.

I just can't believe AA still does business the way they do business. Even before the madness, they are more than willing to take orders, but not ship things timely, let you know what's going on with your order, or even estimate when they might ship it. I order brass and mags from them, but to commit to something bigger the way their communication is would be a giant leap.

Have two SSA-E's, one HiSpeed DMR and two HI Speed Match's. Depending on your end use, they're all very good. I like the position of the trigger in the guard on the SSA-E's-it's further rearward and still has an excellent second stage pull. The Hi Speed's trigger is more forward in the guard by a small, but noticeable distance. They are very precisely adjustable and could be a bit light for shoot and move activity, but excellent on the bench.
Be patient with Bill Alexander, it'll be worth your wait. I have three Grendels from 18" to 24", and it is a very capable round.

Re: trigger for 6.5 Grendel

The SD-3G in 3.5 pounds is really light. Almost scary light. I found that I could run the 5lb one more effectively than the 3.5 bc the return spring is so light on the 3.5. They're nice though. Really smooth. However, the SD-3G wasn't designed for a precision rifle. You would probably be better off with an SSA-E or DMR trigger.
