Rem 700 aac-sd in a Mcm A5. If I load 4 rounds into the stock magazine, they have a long scratch down the side of the shell. What could be causing this?

The scratch is being caused by the magazine feed lip. The problem happens in the factory Hogue stock, and the A5.

Take a file and GENTLY break the sharp edges on the bottom of the magazine feed lips. It takes all of 3-4 passes on each one, then it'll stop.

Il try that thanks. After a google search it looks like this has been a problem with Remington bolt action rifles for atleast the past 10 years. Pages and pages of similar results. Wow.
