I want to first thank everyone on this site with all the great info. I've been saving my pennies for a while now and with four small kids I mean pennies

. Any ways I've been looking at the bushnell G2DMR 6-24X50 FFP and leupold 8.5-25X50 M1. I wanted to know what you all think. The bushnell is cheaper and has FFP but I hear the glass on the leupold is really good. Thanks.

I'm putting it on a Savage 308 Heavy barrel. The range I go to is up to a 1000 yards.

it you are going to be shooting it at varying disances it almost has to have ffp. otherwise will drive you nuts. my son has the bushnell on his 260 and he likes it. the optics fade a bit on the top magnification, but overall for the cost i think pretty good scope and he is happy with it.

I had a Leupold 6.5/20/40 varix3 and now I have a Bushnell 3.5/21/50 hdmr and the glass on the Bushnell I think is better than the Leupold

I have a Bushnell ET6245FG (FFP, G2DMR) and the glass is as good as my DMR to my eye.
19 mils elevation and (IIRC) 14 mils windage, no zero stop, no illumination.
They put the money into the optics, the FFP, and the reticle.

Lifetime warranty on the Elites, no receipt, just send it in and they'll fix it.

Along with Bushnell's 1 year "bullet proof" warrenty of send it back, no questions asked, for a full refund.

I just bought a Bushnell DMR and am super happy with it. Granted I'm no expert and only had it out once.

But if your range goes out to 1000 yards chances are you can find someone there who has the scopes your looking for so you can check them out before you buy. I was able to find a few people and got a chance to look at several scopes before I purchased mine (granted the one I bought I didn't see)

Bushnell Elites have a full lifetime warranty as well. I just bought a G2DMR 3.5-21x50mm from Scott at Liberty Optics and recieved it on Friday. I have to say that I was shocked by the quality and feel of this scope. Its built like a tank and the glass is great. I have been in the market looking at different scopes for a long time and have done a mountain of research and have gotten behind a lot of different scopes. A came to the conclusion that between the G2DMR and the SS there are no better options for the money. I have been a big Leupold and Nightforce fan for a long time and the Bushnell is impressing the hell out of me!
