got a ar15. bought a 45 degree offset going to put a scope on top and a reflex on the 45. don't want to spend a bunch of money on a reflex. been looking at site mark. which one, not sure. they have one that looks like a eotech. not sure if I want that hanging off the side. thinking I should get one of the smaller version. would like some feedback on the setup all together. if there is a different brand I should look at? want to stay around $100 or under. basically whats the best bang for the buck.

Trying to stay under $100 while still hoping for a decent sight is kind of hopeless, You really get what you pay for in this area. For under a hundred dollars, the sightmark would probably last the longest, but I would either buy a set of angled BUIS like TBT's or just save up until you can afford to buy a deltapoint. Good luck

I really would advise against putting a "budget" optic at a 45degree offset. I have used a T-1 in the 45 offset and it is a really cool set-up that is pretty functional once you get the hang of it. To roll it quickly takes a little work but once you develop that muscle memory, transition is pretty quick. I have gone to the ACOGTA31RMR set up which I like as well (similar to the 45 offset just a different motion - it is nice that you don't affect the standard up/down trajectory of the round but you don't get near the cheekweld that you can with the 45 - so... both have their strengths and drawbacks).

However, the 45degree offset mount puts that red-dot in an extremely vulnerable spot. It is sticking off the rifle in a way that makes it easy to bang around on cover and if you drop the rifle on that side, the offset optic is going to take a large majority of that impact. The Aimpoint T1 is the best way to go but is pricy so I understand that is out of the question. The trijiRMR is very solid in this config but is also pricy. The cheapest I would go would be a Vortex Sparc. Unless you are just going to cradle it as you cary it out to the range and then be super super gentle, I would strongly advise against that sightmark.

I see what your saying about it breaking. looking into primary arms micro and the bushnell trs 25. I'm hoping acquisition while be just as good using one of these instead of a reflex

Im looking for offsets as well. The surefire rapid transition has my attention so far. Pricey, but I haven't found anything else I like.

My buddy was trying to convince me to put offset irons on my RECCEish build instead of an optic due to cost, size and bulk. He finally set his up several months back and let me shoot it for the day. He changed my mind. However he went all out and purchased the Knights Armament Offset sights which I really love, but are unavailable. So I got myself some Duecks for the time being. Cheaper than an optic, unobtrusive (Knights fold back), and are well built. If I can ever get my hands on them I will throw a set of Knights Offset on mine and sell my Duecks (they do stick out and I just don't like that). IMHO.
