Building something new in 7mm RSUAM

BAT, HART, McMillan, Jewell etc,.

Have not decided on the bottom metal... thinking about Badger or Surgeon.

Thoughts? Opinions? Irrelevant smart ass remarks?

Thanks

they are all good, comes down to what design you like and what style of mag release you want. I like the paddle style like the Badger. Ive never had a problem with the release getting hung up on anything and a mag coming out

I have no idea what the pros and cons if different brands are, haven't upgraded to DBM myself, but in case you didn't know Hooper had a special running for I think $179, maybe the thread is still up since the new software update. I think it was in options & accessories for sale

If it were me, I'd save some money and buy a PTG Stealth DBM. Fit's in a Badger Inlet so having a stock with some crazy inletting isn't a problem if you decided to sell it, plus, it might still be $79, not sure if the sale is still on. In all honesty, you hardly even see bottom metal, so spending $250 for it seems awfully ??? to me.

I just checked out the PTG ones, not quite that cheap but they are selling for $129.99. I think the OP is using a SA receiver, but one thing I liked about the Hooper model was for LA with BDL inlet it's a drop-in

I've heard a lot of people are having to do some serious trimming to get the Atlasworkx DBM to function properly, which I'm not interested in.

My preference would be the Badger DBM, they have a military discount, and I really like that, plus they have great customer service.

In the end, $79 was hard to pass up for the PTG, and it's almost identical to the Badger, minus the small magazine guide that sticks down...similar to the Surgeon.
