I'm sending in pile of parts to Mr. Beanland as soon as McMillan delivers and I'm stuck on my scope choice.

It's a .308 build thats going to sport a short barrel, 16.5 - 18" I haven't decided yet. Going to use it as a 600 meter and under gun that will shoot hunting bullets in the 150gr area and match bullets in the 168-175gr area.

I want it to be a handy little rifle and truck gun.

My max budget for glass is 2K and I'm looking at the following:

Vortex HD Razor with EBR-3 (seems kind of big)
The new Bushnell with GAP's reticle
Leupold MK4 ER/T 4.5-14X50 w/M5 turrets and TMR
Leupold MK6 3-18 with TMR (if the leupold store ever gets back online at Promotive)
Premier hunter

I have a SS 5-20 on 2 rifles but the reticle is kind of thick for me.

What say you guys?

**** Well as an update I just placed an Order with Kevin @ High Caliber Sales (site vendor) for a NF 2.5-10x32 w/ZS & MOAR reticle. Kevin says it should work great for my build and it's purpose. ****

The MK6 is very tidy. Of that list, it's my favorite because it tracks well, has great glass, and seems pretty tough. I've used each scope on that whole list except the Premier Hunter, and I'm a fan of the MK6. Good luck!

the razors are good scopes but there huge and heavy, the mark 6 is 23 oz and very compact, and i dont know if you can or not get the premier hunter with exposed turrets, but if it were me i would agree with bengates..go with Mark 6

I have a vortex and it is nice but I have been hearing more and more about the bushnells

The NF was a good choice. The only downside to the compacts is a lack of parallax adjustment. I own a Mark4 3.5-10 FFP M5 and I think that also would have suited you well.
