I have a Manners on order to go with a varmint barreled action. I ordered the varmint contour, but now they are telling me they only have a M24 contour. Will the extra area make any difference?

How do you mean "make a difference"? Mechanically...no. Esthetically... the gap will be more pronounced. It won't effect the performance of the barrel in any way. If you are having the barreled action professionally bedded, the smith can fill and contour the barrel channel to match the varmint contour.
Did you place a custom order, or did you order from the in stock inventory. If Manners doesn't have want you want in stock, check out Stockys as they have a large inventory of Manners as well

I guess my difference comment was a little of both. I am glad to hear it would not effect the performance. As I ordered it with the mini chassis, I was looking to not have any bedding done on this one.

I ordered it from Stocky's. Manners does have a varmint ready to ship (just not the color I had in mind) so I may cancel the Stockys order.

Good choice with the mini chassis. if that's the case i would go direct with manners. they will paint the stock a solid color for you. their customer service is incredible

I think you're smart to do that. I've put a factory sporter barreled action in a MCS cut out for a Rem Varmint and it looks a little goofy. Best to get it so that it matches your barrel profile.

In terms of function, won't notice any difference.
