How many on here love to hang a line come spring time? I can guarantee I'll be seeing plenty of time on the water after the next month or so! Live about 20 minutes from Lake Anna (for those of you in VA) and 20 minutes from my little private honey hole. Feel free to message me, and maybe I'll take you along for the ride one day.

hunting season never ends, it just changes seasons. The deer and elk are in the freezer, but the coyotes and rabbits are always out, and as soon as the snow starts comin down it"ll be time for rock chucks and prairie dogs.
I'm sure I'll squeeze a few fishing trips in this summer ;)

you boys can keep the fresh water fishing. when hunting season ends over here, we hit the Gulf of Mexico. Fishing starts late March early April. Speckled trout and Redfish until the end of September! Time to refill the freezer. Can't wait, work weekend lined up this weekend to do a little spring cleaning and fix the boat lifts. Nothing beats a sunrise in the marshes of Louisiana

There is something to hunt/shoot year round here. The job of predator control never seems to end living in an area that is home to many ranches with livestock. I receive calls year round requesting help controlling predators. That doesn't mean I don't like to go fishing on occasion but it does limit my fishing trips. We do try to take a week every year and head into the forest lakes in the high country and do some fishin and crawdad trappin. I'm usually able to get at least 4 camping/fishing trips in during the summer where there isn't some hunting involved.

Rangeryo, and the rest of the good time gang here at Snipershide. Howdy all. I'm a bass fisherman first and foremost. Grew up on the great lakes, Erie specifically. It's in my blood. I fish locally for largemouth 2 days a week, and manage to get out about every other weekend. I was saving for a nice used Champion bass boat, but bought a few guns instead...lol, the fiberglass boat will have to wait to next season. For now, I'm focused on building a Savage10 or a Remy700 as well as a few Dobys blanks and some new pig'n jigs. Rock on boys....good luck this spring on the water. Here's a pic of a 6+ I caught end of this season:

I usually only get one trip a year to Ontario but man do I look forward to it!

I fish all winter as well..

BTW... Spring time, I'm all about the large mouth fishing. I fish a "Landownerd only" lake nearby, and catch 4-10lb large mouths all through the spring, at a rate of about 15/day. Demolitionman, I haven't had a chance to fish Erie yet, but I've made a few trips up to Lake Champlain, which I absolutely loved. I've caught so many small mouth up there in a day that I got bored. I also quit fishing normal lakes for about a year after each trip because I get spoiled. I found that a lot of locals don't really even bass fish on that body of water either, which I thought was strange, because it is so easy. I went into a tackle shop, and the guy asked me what we were fishing for. I told him bass and his response was "I didn't even know we had those here"

i like combining the fishing and hunting in the winter while on the ice we shoot some yotes as they like running accross it on oahe and also in the summer when the walleyes slow down mid day we go shoot pdogs off the pontoon. Oahe is shaping up to be a great year of walleye fishing this year the ice is getting kind of iffy now cant wait to get the boat in

This is about as big as they come in the rivers here. Caught 91 in a weekend, most weren't as big though.

I hunt year round but I do slack off during summer to wet a line and enjoy some good company. Headed to the gulf to store my boat at the Marina end of this month! I love me some Grouper/Snapper fishing. Can't wait

I'm really looking forward to some bluegill fishing with my twin boys and little girl this spring. Every time it rains, they run outside and hunt for night crawlers. Flipping over all my retaining blocks and scattering crap all over the yard. Makes me proud.
