It would be nice to find someone local but willing to ship anywhere (I'm in the North DFW area). I have a piston AR10 that I would like to have rebarreled. I find the chamber to be WAY TOO generous, would prefer different twist and maybe fluted. WHO do you recommend?

Mark Gordon at short action customs, here in OH, rebarreled one of mine, and is getting ready to do it again with a 6.5 barrel. Wellington OH, he is here on the hide a lot. Built my bolt gun too. does great work.

Have you considered rebarreling it yourself? Its not that difficult to do and by the time you pay for shipping on the upper both ways it might save you a little money.

AN AR10 re-barrel is easy peasy.

But if ya want the certainty of a pro checking headspacing on the gun, I recommend Fulton Armory. They re-barrelled mine with their FAR-10 bbl and it shoots under 0.50 MoA regularly.

Pull your bolt out and ship it to Krieger. Tell them what barrel you want and they will cut you one and headspace it to your bolt. Pull your old one off, throw the new one on. Problem solved.

Benny Hill, Triangle Shooting Sports, is very experienced, easy to deal with, and I believe he's in Texas.

Send it to Mark, at Short Action Customs, he's building me one in 6.5 CM :)

Plus, he has done a bunch of small work for me; fast turn around, great price, and excellent work!
