WTF! Is bulk 17HMR now extinct too?

What the hell! I had to place a backorder today on Mid South Shooters Supply for freakin 17HMR ammo.

I can't find any bulk 17gr red tips or any in-stock 20gr FMJ's...

Has anyone been buying off of Mid South and knows how their wait is for 17HMR?

Like all the rest of the ammo, it's getting scarce.
You can find some but you'll have to hunt for it.

In my neck of the woods, 17 HMR bulk ammo is all there is on the shelves. And plenty of it too!
I thought about buying a 17 just so I could shoot and then still be able to afford to put food on the table!

don't give up on mid-south, if you check often it may pop up in-stock sooner than what they say. i've picked some up there 3 different times in the last month or so they have the best price, just kept checking every couple days

It's my local scheels store. I don't believe they have online ordering, but if you like. I could possibly pick some up and ship it to you. I don't remember off the top of my head what the price for 500 rds was but I can check. Let me know

I was at the Gonzales, LA Cabelas a couple weeks back and they had a metric asston of 17HMR...at least 8' long by three shelves tall FULL of the stuff.

It was the only rimfire ammo they had in the entire store.

I'm far more accustomed to hearing talk of the much smaller "metric shitload" which leaves me to believe that a metric asston must be significantly more....metrically.

Took 4 weeks but my "in stock" order from ammo to go arrived:


It's out there, and the pricing isn't even bad. I didn't pay any more for this batch than I did the last few.


I got lucky though in that 17 hmr is my go-to rimfire round and while I was caught low on supply when the shit happened that it's still somewhat available.

I can tell you this though, if we make it through this crisis I won't get caught by the next one.
