I found a pretty good website that locates websites that have ammo stocked. It updates every 5 hours and has links to websites with ammo in stock and they are working on a section for reloading components as well.

I truly hate paying close to $2 dollars a round for .308 but at least it's something. Ill look into ammoseek. Thanks.

Awesome, thanks for the link. Most of it is pretty pricey but it's nice to at least see some ammo in stock.

Yes, it's nutz. I was looking for 139gr Scenars and have found none in stock online. I just discovered that Sinclair will backorder them, so I placed an order. Luckily I have enough to continue reloading until they arrive, even if it's a couple months.

If you're having trouble finding specific components, try backordering from Sinclair.

Sgammo has good stuff and good prices, but it goes fast when they get some in

The link was posted up before the site change and I think it got lost in the switch-over. Using the link a while back I managed to get .308 168 FGMM for $25 a box, not a bad deal now days.

Actually it refreshes itself every minute and is pretty close to real time. true most of it is overpriced but it searches cabelas and a couple other big names that charge closer to "normal" prices. If you work on a computer all day and can watch it on a separate screen you can find good prices but it literally sells out in minutes so you have to be FAST. then the rest are the gougers. You can also un-check the "instock only" field, then sort by age and you will see everything that has just came in and sold out over the last day or so. Why is that useful you ask? A couple if reasons, you get a feel of what places are charging more than others and also what sites tend to have the most stock. From there you will need to create user profiles on each of their websites ahead of time. trust me, if you find a good price and put some in your cart but then have to fill out a profile, you WILL lose it buy the time your done and your cart will show empty. I learned that the hard way a couple times. I can't emphasize enough on how fast you need to be when good prices pop up. 2 to 3 minutes tops and its gone, no joke. Sometimes faster.

If you are able to monitor it you will then notice patterns with some of the vendors. they will add so many of a certain kind, then it will sell out in minutes, then an hour or two later they will add more. Then an hour or two after that they will release different makes of the same caliber, and so on. I work on a computer all day so it's easier for me but the bottom line is you can find reasonable prices, even normal in some cases depending on what your looking for, if you put in your time and watch it. Today I just got 200rds of 9mm brass good brand for 20 a box and got some Winchester 62 gr green tip 5.56 for a good price as well. That's my exp for what its worth. happy hunting :)

Oh and one other thing, turn your sound up. Put it on a separate browser in the back round and leave it on the page for the caliber that you want the most. When a new entry shows up it will give a very slight beep.

Honestly, ammo aside. It's actually kind of fun. haha. I also bought 2 500 bricks of CCI 22lr on there today for 30 each because i stumbled on it. I didn't need it that bad but 22lr is IMPOSABLE to find in my area and I will use it up eventually. good luck

I guess this is one of the perks to living in a small town in the middle of no where. I have yet to walk into the local shop and find they were out of ammo. I've got no problem finding it at the pre-panic rate. Sorry guys, bragging I guess.

I wish there was a site that did the same with powder and primers. :)

Gunbot says they are working on it.

I thought this ammo scare was gonna be like in 08, and it would subside after a while. But I don't remember ALL of the shelves at Bass Pro being completely bare. I don't remember 22 ammo, of all things, being completely gone and only available on Gunbroker. What's different this time? Oh wait, never mind.

Darn, I was running around N. GA this week but I had my boss with me so I didnt stop into every little gun/ammo store like I normally do. I hit a few of them, but when I am by myself I try to not miss any. I think I sometimes scare him when I spend that much time of my work day looking at gun stores.

I am sure you dont want to give up your secret locations on here but I hope I am lucky enough to stumble across some of them. You can feel free to PM me some of your favorites if you want to help out. I did find out about Georgia Arms in Villa Rica this week, that looks like it might become part of my normal shopping route.

I am quite excited about this site, I am looking forward to what looks like an unbelievable community of information. I was actually turned on to the site by someone in one of the N. GA gun shops I stopped into this week. And I am glad that he did.
