Hey I recently received my custom rifle from my gunsmith and in an effort to save money at the time I didnt have him upgrade the trigger as the one I had was tuned to 3lbs.
After getting the rifle and shooting it. 3lbs was not working out for me. I was going to get a jewel but funds were limited and I needed more berger bullets so I bought a timney
and first I had to remove some of the skins to make way for the trigger shoe to fit in the trigger guard area. Now when I get the barreled action back in place, the safety will not move back at forth.
Has anyone had this issue? do I need to remove some material above the area where I removed the material from the skins for the shoe? or should it fit in fine maybe Im just doing something wrong. here's my new stick.

Yeah, if you remove the barreled action, you will see where the safety is touching the chassis. I had to relieve quite a bit with a Dremel to get my Jewell safety to function properly.

ok thanks guys.. I just checked out that link and it makes sense... thanks.... I was looking online and somehow I missed that link... again thanks again..

with the trigger out of the chassis operate the safety on and off. on the side of the trigger you will see a pin move in and out. 5 minutes with a file you can shorten this pin making sure it can not go inside of the trigger side at it's furthest inward position. the pin is doing nothing outside of the trigger side and i personally would rather spend 5 minutes with a file on a $150 trigger than going to town on a $1k anodized chassis with a dremel tool.
