Ah if you are talking about the factory stock on this http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/MARKIITR it is wood, looked like wood when I held one. Are you talking about a aftermarket one for the TR?

anway, yeah the stock stock is wood on the TR. I don't know of anyone making a tactical synthetic stock for that rifle. BUT the regular MKII FV-SR has a standard synthetic stock. I've never seen one with a butthook.
