Folks,

I have a .500 A2 rifle built on a stiller tac .338, currently I use wyatts MK5 center feed internal box with PTG bottom metal, it only holds two in there and cant get the bolt over the second round to have a third in the chamber and two down, so essentially I have a 1 round mag. I can get canoe bottom metal which will give me two rounds down for sure, but Im thinking a mag box of 5 rounds of .500 A2 wouldwork well and I could have a couple of spare mags when into a mob of feral hogs.. After putting a .500 A2 round(.460 Weatherby necked up to .510 cal) in a AI .338 Lap mag it fits in, but those two little triangle tabs of metal at the front of the mag wont allow the .510 570 gr woodleigh projectile to fit (too fat) if you removed them it would fit them fine, realiy is the .500 A2 case is basically a Lapua case with belt on it.

so;

1. which .338 lap bottom metal will fit a stiller tac .338.

2. and what brand would be best suited to .500 A2

3. will the new CIP .338 lap mags and bottom metal fit a standard stiller tac .338 ?

Any help/ideas appreciated.

Thankyou X Ring,

Sonic, most hold 5...Wyatts holds 8 lapua's but you would lose one I reckon with the belted case that the .500 A2 has (parent case .460 Weatherby Mag)
