This firearm isn't mine,I just take the photos for Dave.

Here's a 1911 recently completed by Dave's Metal Works,it has a Caspian Damascus slide and Caspian Recon frame. The frame is coated in Titanium Cerakote and the small parts in Graphite Black Cerakote.
It has a Bar Sto Precision bull barrel, a Caspian Diamond Bomar sight and Damascus hammer and trigger.

The Damascus really sets it apart. I'm kinda digging the grips too.

Good looking rig.

Sharp gun! What are everyone's thoughts/opinions on those sights?

I like those sights quite a bit...ghost ring are extremely fast target acquisition but great for precision target shooting.

Fine Damascus pistol...very nice setup. Wouldn't mind having one but to me it's not worth the extra cost.

What steels are used in in the Damascus?

Anyone have any durability tests...30K-50K rounds?

I really thought I'd like it, turns out I don't, certainly unique, maybe if the folds were finer, maybe if the trigger wasn't damascus. Looks great otherwise, nice photography. Who makes the sights? or are they in house?

the sight is an LPA cut Caspian diamond ghost ring- front sight looks to be a High-Viz fiber optic.

What steels are used in the Damascus?

My only concern is the durability...many times, making something pretty isn't necessarily durable. I wonder what the 5-10K testing will show...how do the lockup areas look when compared to something like 4140 or 416
