So I have Type 2's currently and they are to long internally so under recoil the rounds slide forward and get caught under the feed ramp (it's a Surgeon Action so the feed ramp is notched but they still catch when all the way forward). I'm shooting a .260 now and the mags are from my old .308 when I needed the extra length to get to the lands. My loads are 2.864" OAL and they fit fine in AI mags. I'm wondering if they will in a type 1. I understand the website says that their internal length is 2.850" but I am hoping someone can actually put calipers on them and measure. AI says theirs are 2.850" as well but my loads fit in those fine. If a few people wouldn't mind doing it so I can get a general consensus that would be awesome. Thanks for the help guys

FWIW, I've found that if I load any longer than 2.85" on a type 1, I get a fair amount of hangups on my R700. I originally was trying 2.87" OAL but they tended to get jammed up in the mags so I gave up and knocked them back a bit.

Thank you guys so much for the feedback. Looks like I'll be ordering up some Type 1's and selling my type 2's.
