Does anyone own an Eberlestock Model 11?

If so any pros or cons?

Thinking of getting one for my Rem./HS Precision .300 WM barreled action. I like it that the rail is lower than most other chassis for lower scope mounting. (Less cheek rest elevation needed & better bore/scope distance.)

(BUMP)

No answers - so I take it that nobody has yet tried this Eberlestock chassis.

Are there any reviews here or any othere sites? I couldn't find anything on "search".

"Nut",

Yep, it's spendy but about what other good chassis makers want for theirs. I'd only want one screw-on Picatinny top rail
as an option. I can get the chassis Cerakoted in a preferred color. It would be much mopre durable than Eberle's anodizing.

I'm wondering how long it will take for McMillen or HS Precision and other good stock makers to come out with a chassis type stock. The competition should lower the prices all around.

Manners has a chassis option for their stocks.

Terry Cross has his sentinel stock that has a chassis in it.

Those are both cheaper than the Eberlestock chassis.

They make some pretty high end biathlon stocks. Lone Wolf handled one at Shot and was impressed with quality-didn't get to shoot it though. Would sure like to try one.

Post a review if you go that route!

No disrespect but... How many chassis makers out there are charging $2k for their products? I can think of one other. Most folding chassis' are around $1200.

The link with comments about this stock above doesn't work any more... what are the cliff notes?

Only one ive read about in the wild was on the m14forum on the boltgun section.

It would take a lot to pry me away from going with Manners stocks on my next rifle as I've used them on 3 consecutive builds and can't say enough good things about them, but this one from Glen does look interesting. I was a walnut purist forever but after banging up enough expensive furniture (a hand checkered fleur des lis pattern on exhibition grade walnut costs far more than this M11), and having experimented with aluminum bedding blocks to keep the wood from warping after 4 days in rainy weather I finally made the jump to composite stocks and will never go back.

For those of you who have this stock, or something similar, I am wondering about that itty bitty (it seems to me) cheek rest. Moving between various shooting positions is it really enough real estate to prove comfortable, especially if using hard recoiling calibers?

My gunsmith has recently started making aluminum chassis. He did my Rem700P-338LM build for me, pictured in my album. I haven't gotten the stock yet, but he said his chassis run about $800-1000, depending on the options you get. He can do fully adjustable stock---LOP, Comb, Butt-plate (3 way)---and has picatinny rail built into forearm. I believe they use AI bottom metal, not sure, but I know the mag well accepts my 338LM mag from my Rem700P (I'm using the original magazine). My plan is to get one on my 338, and use the H-S stock from that on my 30.06 when I rebarrel it. I can just order the chassis with a mag for 300WinMag, and swap the magazines.
They look very nice, and are sturdy as hell. Not that terribly heavy either. If you want, I can get contact info for you. I am saving up for one now.

Have not had any problem with the itty bitty. Plenty comfortable for me but I don't shoot comps. Only problems I've had hunting were the wind, rain, or sharp rock poking me in the gut when shooting prone.

A friend of mine has one of these and while he is happy, it's not what I would choose. I do not like the folding stock, never can get the hang of the latch system and am always messing with it, not handy at all in my opinion. All metal is a no go for me, cold in the cold, hot in the heat.
