So I'm patiently waiting for my M2013 action and a barrel and I'm not sure what finish I want. I like whatever Remington uses on their XCR Tactical Long Range but not sure how the difference in metal between Remingtons stainless vs Badgers steel wouldd make. Its going in an AIAX Chassis and the 700 that was in it before was just Kryloned OD Green and it actually matched AI's OD pretty well. Maybe just cerakote the action and barrel OD? Also I think I want to coat the bolt in nickel boron. Any opinions or recommendations will be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a pair of Badger barreled actions out being done entirely in Ion Bond

Phantom finishing is an IonBond distributor/dealer/whatever you want to call it.

Personally, I'd do melonite on the Badger action. I love that finish. If you talk to Marty at BO, he has no qualms with the metallurgy of melonite on his actions, but he doesn't like the thought of potential dimensional changes. My personal experience with meloniting actions tells me not to worry about dimensional changes.

Meloniting go through MMI Trutec. If they make you send it in in a batch get ahold of me, we ship once a month.

I think MMI was who my stuff got sent to for IonBond also, so they do melonite and Ionbond?
