Im getting ready to set up my rock chucker and I have a hornady lock and load quick change system. I've never used this system and I wondering if you guys have had any luck with it. If it has any chance of ruining consistency I wont use it. I like the idea of it since I reload .338lm, 7mm rem mag, .300wm, .270, and .308

I use it every day on my Rock Chucker. It's great. Actually can make a single stage press perform like a Turret press. I've made a holder for all the bushings with pre-adjusted dies installed in them. Want to change from sizing die to seating die, "zip-zap-done". For accuracy's sake (in my mind) I have put witness marks on each bushing and on top of the press. That way I know that the bushing is installed in exactly the same position as when I adjusted the die and locked it with the lock-nut.

Consistency is not a problem. I am only limited to the level of consistency in bullet lengths and case quality which is the same problem even if you use dies that you have to screw in and out with every change.

What's really neat is that I keep a Forster Collet type Bullet Puller set up in a L-n-L bushing. When I change bullets, and have to reset the seating depth and I seat one deeper than I want, I just quickly change to the puller, back the bullet out a little, return the seater die, adjust, and try again. Lost time? Maybe 20 seconds.

I love the Hornady LNL system for it's consistancy and simplisity. It really is a great thing. But the down side is that you will a tied to their bushings once you start using it.

I haven't had any issue using the Hornady bushings. Makes changing dies quick and easy. I found additional bushings on Ebay pretty cheap and have them on my most commonly loaded calibers.

I have a LnL AP. When I bought my Redding Big Boss II, I spent the $15 to move it to the Hornady bushings. I love it. Same bushings across the board.

I have the LnL system set up on my Rockchucker and I like it a lot. My other press is a CoAx, and it makes them about as quick, one to the other with the LnL system in the Rockchucker. I would go for it in a second. Also just FYI, my dies in the LnL bushings make ammo just as good if not better than when I simply threaded them into the press previously, all checked with measurements, i.e. seating depth, case concentricity, and bullet concentricity. I will second the poster who mentioned the use of the collet setup, I have a hornady collet bullet puller that is mounted in a busing, makes using it a snap.

I set up a Hornady LNL single stage press a few years ago and loved it. Then I saw the conversion unit for the RCBS RC I already had and thought it would be a great asset. Then I hit a snag. Once a die is set up for one press or the other it will only work in that press. Too bad, as I thought I would be able to use them interchangably.
Other than that I love the LNL.
