I was looking for some ammo that was in stock and ran across Blacksmitharmory.com out of Tempe, AZ. I went to check out and for 4 bricks of 22lr they wanted to charge $320 for shipping!!? I live in SA, TX. I shop a lot online for deals and try to stay with reputable companies, but since this Obomoutage I have been getting desperate. The other thing that set me off was on the logo, they misspelled "tactical" Tacticle??? Is that a word? I'm not an English major so Im not sure. Has anyone else used this site? I called today with no answer.

Run don't walk away from this company, they are shady. Friend and I each ordered $400 worth of LR20 PMAGS that they claimed to have in stock in December. They never showed up and won't return phone calls or emails any more or refund credit card or cancel order. I am disputing it with the credit card company.

Blacksmith Armory in Arizona is engaged in outright thievery!!!

I have recently ordered to rifle magazines from Blacksmith Armory in Tempe, AZ on March 7th, 2013 from their online website for $49.79US which included the cost of FedEx Home delivery shipping to my home in Colorado. It has been over a week and I have not received my order yet. I have tried to call numerous times to inquire about my order status and no one ever answers the the main phone number (480) 966-3305 and there is no voicemail recording or anything like it. I became concerned and started looking online for other phone numbers and locations for them. I have tried calling a number listed for another location in Tuscon at (520) 232-3245 and there is no answer there either. I am concerned that I have been bamboozled after I read a couple reviews on firearms industry blogs about them. I have not heard back from them after lots of emails and phone calls. At this point I am thoroughly unimpressed and believe that there is fraud and online thievery happening at Blacksmith Armory.

This is obviously a scam site from the looks of it. Just wish this could be noted on a DO NOT BUY FROM list so everyone is aware.

It's funny how things work sometimes and the power of the internet. I looked at their website and low and behold I just happen to be a few blocks away from them doing some work. I swung by the address they have listed for returns to see if I could browse around the store and see what they have. If you Google map it, you can see it is in a building on the 4th floor.

Whats interesting is that this is a secure building thats a combo apartment/loft business type of set up on the high end scale of things. The business name isn't on the directory at the front door, none are, and the assigned numbers to call up don't correspond to the "suite" numbers. So after browsing the directory I went up to the 4th floor and found "suite" 409. Here is what it looks like.

It's safe to say that this isn't a business store front, there is nothing indicating that Blacksmith Armory is located in this building, it's a high end yuppie apartment/loft complex. If this is the return center, its the nicest one I've ever seen. If Blacksmith Armory is an internet store only, I again doubt its being run out of this address as the mailboxes are on the wall in the lobby just like the post office boxes. I can't see anything being boxed up and shipped from this location nor returned to it. My guess is if they do have a warehouse of stuff, it's somewhere else as this building is in the heart of the ASU college area.

I am suspect of this business as it appears they are a internet only store and if it is indeed being run out of that address, they couldn't have anything in the way of on hand stock, it's a loft apartment. Ottoman, perhaps sending them an e-mail of the attached picture will motivate them to respond to your e-mails. :)

That is great detective work Papa! Amazing how small the world is. Now someone needs to chim in with some kind of legal recourse for those who were taken. I assume CC purchases would eventually be refunded, but plenty of people probably don't pursue it and just give up. I'll strike up a conversation with their "Sales" dept and see what they say. I'll post it as I go.

That my friends is called mail fraud. Notify the post office and give them the address or post office box you sent your payment to. They will take care of the rest.

With emails still no response even after try the 'ole carrot on a stick, I might have laid it on too thick

So.... Just got a phone call at 9pm? Dennis, new President of company, call came from OR... He said prior management couldn't handle the biz.... NO SHIT!... And he is taking over. Said to email him list of what I needed and he would let me know if it's in stock. Said, website has been down for a while, duh, and is working on it. Said "will not charge CC until item ships."

Everyone who has a prior order issue, you now have a phone # and contact

I suggest calling and if it is resolved let us know, either way. These issues need to be resolved if he expects this company to recover from the "previous" bozos.

Some very good information here, i noticed these scam artists are located on amazon also, i am already in the process of getting my cc refunded and noticed now their website is no longer in operation either. Here is one website with some info...not sure if it will help anyone but hopefully everyone can get their money back from these people. I am amazed that someone actually called you back Gonz, it says on the website that "DENNIS" took office (not 100% for sure what that means) May of 2012, and i just placed my order Feb. 27th so obviously he has done nothing to fix any issues, i see people have been having problems since at least last september. I wish i had done research about this company before ordering but i was purchasing 25 wssm ammo which is impossible to find and yeah shipping was a little high but nothing extreme and i needed the ammo so thought no big deal. It wasnt until i referred another friend and he tried ordering a few boxes of 22lr ammo they said they had in stock and shipping was 300-400$$ and a little alarm went off. Please stay away from this company, and if you have been charged call your cc card company immediately.
