Does anyone have any information on this vendor? I ordered some ammo from him Feb 11th and have not heard since. He cashed my check but does not return emails and his voice mailbox is full. www.dallasReloads.com

Chad is a good guy. He usually gets right back to me and I've emailed him a few times with no response. I have to think something is going on with him.

I just tried calling him and for sure his voicemail is full or disabled. When I spoke to him mid-Feb he told me he could load up some 260 ammo for me the following week. I gave him my CC info and that was the last I heard... NOW, he HAS NOT charged my card so I'm not freaking out... but, I would like some ammo. =)

Shit is still crazy so it's likely he can't get RP brass in 260 but the way he was talking it sounded like he might have had some in stock but I could have read him wrong.

Chad is great to deal with. You can not ask for a nicer guy. He can be had to reach at times. I'm sure it's just he is busy or maybe did not receive the email. I just talked to him at the Brawl. He said the orders are coming in like crazy and it is hard to get supplies at times.

I ordered 200 .338 lapua rounds well over a month ago. Haven't received or heard anything from him and he is yet to charge my card. Nice guy to talk to though. I have sent emails with no response, but he told me he gets a lot of them every week and doesn't respond to some. It is what it is.

Its all good. He is out of 168SMK's like I ordered. Finally caught him on the phone early in the am. Real nice guy, just not able to get supplies. Hope things change soon.

I got ahold of him today too... he's been swamped my order should go out tomorrow or the next day. He processed my card today.

Custom reloads is no longer a vendor on here.

His track record for the past year has been less than stellar, he is quick to cash, and slow to communicate. I have known Chad or a while but can no longer allow him to do business on here. I think he means well, but the track record shows otherwise.

We can't hand hold a vendor so they do the right thing, but we can make sure the ones that don't are not invited back.

Keep on him, but be firm.

I had ordered 200 rounds of 300wm in Oct 2012, After many phone calls (never returned my emails) I finally received the ammo in early Feb 2013.

That's too bad. He seems to mean well and he never charged my card until today and when I spoke with him he said he'd be mailing the ammo tomorrow or the next day.

Like LL said, he may mean well but at the end of the day I don't give a rats ass what you "mean". I only care about what you do.
And if it takes me 4-6 weeks of sitting around wondering what the hell you are up to with my money and ammo, that is not acceptable.

I placed an order for 10mm ammo with him and it took nearly triple the time I was quoted for it. He was very hard to get ahold of. When I did I was told he was in the middle of moving into a new house and couldnt load my ammo until he got set back up.
Why take an order and promise a time when you know you have something like that coming up?! Come on!

I also paid for a lot of 60 rounds of .223 loaded with 69smk at different change weights looking for a load my ar liked. Never seen them been a few years back it was only $40 dollars if I recall. I ordered a bunch of new 10mm brass from him at the same time I got my brass but never the lot of .223 loads. I'd have done more business with him but couldn't see sending him more money until I received my .223 loads. We've talked about it a few time and he's always sorry I forgot type of thing. I just chalked it up and will not do business with him any longer.

I spoke with Chad today. Got a bag full of brass I am sending him tomorrow. No worries here.

Well I need to update my post here. After speaking with Chad and him telling me he could take care of my order, I called him back the next day to send him my brass. His voice mailbox was full but was able to get a hold of him via email. It was at that time he stated that he couldn't get the dies needed for my round. End result, I kept my brass and am now in the process of purchasing my own reloading equipment. Parts and supplies are out there, you just have to do a little searching to get it all. I have orders from no less than 6 different vendors in transit right now with more to come over the next week. Gonna learn how to load my own.

I ended up just buying my own stuff as well, nothing to do with Chad, just that ammo is not readily available. Only pain in the ass is powder and primers, I have everything else now.

That's good to know. I saw a post in the "Options and Accessories" section from him recently stating he had 300 BLK in stock, and I just assumed he was a vendor here [/insert the old adage here] so I didn't go looking for any kind of reviews or other information about him or his services. I ordered 400 rounds of 300 BLK over the phone from him, only ordering ammo that was in stock because I needed it fairly quickly. He told me it would go out the next day. That was two weeks ago. I wanted it for opening weekend of deer season this past weekend, and my dad, cousin, and brother-in-law were all counting on me to bring it so we could decrease the hog population at our place. I started calling last week and his voicemail was full. Today, saw that my card had already been charged, so I decided it was time to start looking into this further and came upon this thread.

I called him a few minutes ago. He answered and told me, "I actually have your order right here and it's going out today...." I'm not going to lose any sleep if it doesn't go out today, but I do hope it at least gets out by tomorrow. Last weekend has already come and gone, and I had to catch plenty of crap from everybody at deer camp for not showing up with any ammo for the rifles I talked them into buying. Not the end of the world by any means, and I really wasn't too pissed about it until I read this thread. I just assumed he was good to go, thinking he was a vendor on the Hide, and gave him the benefit of the doubt when my order didn't come on time. I only get a few of those weekends per year at this point in my life, and I would've liked to be able to play with my big boy toy.

I did receive my full order a few days after my last post. Everything was in order. Haven't about them yet, but I'm sure they're gtg. We're all guilty of moving too slow sometimes. If he just said upfront it'll be 2 - 4 weeks for in stock orders, I would have zero complaints, i.e. everything else in the transaction was good. Very informative guy to talk to.

Chad used to load ammo as a part-time business, now he is doing it full time. I know Chad pretty well. He is not out to cheat anyone out of their money, but he can be forgetful. You just have to keep trying to contact him. I think that's just the way he is. He knows his stuff, when it comes to loading ammo. He has had a very hard time getting components and he buys it by the pallet!

He should get somebody to help him out, even somebody part-time, on the business side of it. Even if all they did was come in the last part of the day and pack and ship stuff out. Chad was very helpful to me, and you say he knows his stuff when it comes to loading. That's all great, but if he's wanting to make a living doing that, then the customer service aspect just has to be addressed. Nobody wants to order something from a vendor, and then be obligated to continually call and remind/harrass/prod/etc to get what they've already paid for.

He is a pretty good guy to deal with.

He actually lives in my neighborhood and I've stopped by on a couple of occasions to pick stuff up. He did some custom loads for me. As long as you aren't in a hurry he's great to work with.

That is not a valid excuse when this is your living. If you commit to loading ammo for others, do it instead of being impossible to get ahold of and having zero communication. I don't want someone loading my ammo that is forgetful..... that could be very dangerous.

I ordered 200 rounds in February, received 100 about two weeks later than originally told after much work and persistence. Have not seen the remaining (paid for) rounds. No return of calls, emails or texts. Very disappointing!

I was interested in placing an order today, but had a couple questions so I decided to call first. After a few attempts the results were the same, strait to voicemail message, and the voicemail itself was full. This was an instant red flag for me so I decided to look at some reviews online which brought me here. Needless to say, I will NOT be ordering any ammunition from this company from the stories I have heard regarding lack of shipping and communication.
