Hey guys,

What do you look for in a quality AR? 308/7.62x51 if that matters.

Could use a few pointers, and would be interested in people's opinions around here. Thanks!

Are you looking to build a rifle or buy a complete one? GAP puts out some great stuff if you want a complete rifle and don't mind waiting.

Reliability, accuracy, adjustable gas block, and parts fit up. Other than those it is brand specific coatings and features. Any manufacturer with a solid reputation on here will be a good place to start.

At a minimum, the letters AR-10 are all I need to see.

Get a stock Armalite and outfit it as needed for your purposes.

I like to see no wobble when mating the upper and lower receivers. It is really just a personal opinion though. And a stainless barrel

the truly important components of any AR: barrel, bolt, trigger

without quality in these 3 the best upper, lower, stock, forearm, etc will not help

Actually looking at manufacturing them. The 5.56 lower design is done, now working on the 308.
