so i was reloading today and i stuck a piece of brass in my forster fl sizer 308 die. my local shope doesnt carry forster, only rcbs. my question to you guys is this, i am big in precision long range shooting and i know reloading is all about consistancy. so how much of a diffrence if any will i see if i change to an rcbs fl sizer? what are the diffrences in the two dies? sorry if this is a stupid question, its just that you always hear about the big diffrences in seater dies but never much about fl sizers. thanks! im shooting a stock remington 700 xcr lrt 308 if that helps any.

I don't think you'll see a change, just get the brass out of the Forster and rock on. It's all Saami spec stuff. Lube em up right and don't look back.

Normally I would be able to remove the stuck case but the brass cracked off about one eighth inch above the back of the shell which is strange

Thats called an incepient seperation and if you reload long enough you'll get one...welcome to the club.

Try to cave the brass inward with a small scredriver without scratching the die, once you break the vaccum, it may come.
