Hi everyone,

I've hunted for years, but I am in the process of building my first true precision rifle and I joined here to get some insight. I doubt I will ever get into competitions and I don't see myself shooting over 500yds in the forseable future, but I want to be able to bang steel and place pinpoint shots hundreds of yards downrange.

I've already learned a lot from lurking for a while and I've gotten to the point where I think I can start contributing based on my 4extensive research and limited experience.

Thanks!

If you ever change your mind there is one of the best ranges in the country about 2 hours away.

I'm assuming you're talking about the range linked in your signature. If so, I would love to get over there sometime and maybe observe one of the competitions. I have family over in Milton, so I could stop in, visit with them on my way or way back and kill two birds with one stone.

Are most of the competitions open to observers?

Thanks!
