Been looking around at glass for a CZ 527 I bought. Was gonna go with a Falcon menace or the Vortex 2.5X10. But these LEather wood ART scopes, Specifically the uni-dial model. Anyone use one/own one? I googled but couldn't find much. Seems to be a bit cheeper. So I may pick one up. But Just want to see what the hide has to say first.

Thanks

Scott

Bought one years ago. Glass was pretty good, put it on a 22-250 for coyote hunting. What I remeber about it the most was it was a bitch to get sighted in. Once sighted in it worked pretty well, seemed like it worked better on big targets. Don't use it anymore but I've still got it. For the money it's pretty good glass.

I saw one of these at the range a couple months ago. I think it was a 10x variable. I recall it had a MIL based reticle. The build qualty seemed average but the glass was quite good for a price of around $200

Leatherwood/Hi-Lux is actually pretty good stuff for the price range. I've used/sold/installed the Leatherwood CMR on several customer AR15 builds and every one of those customers loves the scope. The glass is really hard to beat for color rendition and clarity in that price range. I am friends with Alex Sergeev, the Russian ballistician who designed the reticle on the CMR's so I have some inside info on what goes into those scopes. Yes they are made in China, but they do not settle for half ass build or glass quality when they commit to a production run. I have been watching the development of the CMR 2.0 which is coming soon and seen some absolutely fantastic prototypes be rejected for aberrations that I could not identify until he showed me what to look for.

In that price range, Leatherwood is a really good option based on what I have seen.

I have had a few CMRs as well, difficult to find a comparable scope with that many features for anywhere near the price, and the glass is very clear. It holds zero perfectly on my 308 Sig, and also have one on a couple 223 rifles. I havent tried any of their other scopes, but knock on wood ive had zero issues with these.
