Has anyone shot the 6mm 105gr berger hybrids far enough to test their trans-sonic abilities? Do they tumble when they become subsonic or do they continue to fly true?

I was coming very close to trans flight with my 6SLR and the 105 Bergers at 1330yds and they were unreal accurate at those ranges. I'm pushing them at 3000fps. So they should do well through trans flight. If i get a chance i'll go out and play a bit further out.

A bud and I were doing a little shooting in west Texas canyon country. We pushed his 6 Creedmore and my .260 to 1320 yards fairly easy. When we attempted a mile his 105gr. did not fair as well as my 140 A-max. He's got a MV of 3000 fps and I have a MV of 2800 fps. I guess the bit more BC and the 35 gr. heavier weight worked out a little better. His splashes were very inconsistant. And it was not him having a lack of ability, he is a very good shooter.

Thanks gents! Anyone else? I don't have access to those distances yet but if I ever do i'd like to have an idea of what to expect. According to my dope i'm still at 1238 fps at 1400yds with 115gr Dtacs/3110fps mv. I would imagine the 105gr hybrids would be about the same so i'm gonna need some serious distance before I even have to worry about it...

Well I ran a ballistic program using current conditions and 105gr hybrids at 3200fps and it becomes trans-sonic at 1470yds surprisingly. With my current load and 115gr Dtacs at 3110fps it's 1620yds.

i have only pushed the 105 hybrid out to 1270, verticle group size was tight but it was windy as shit... lateral suffered. plenty of gas to get out further but these pills are affected by the wind qiote a bit at thoes distances... i was shooting in 5-15mph that day.
