I thought I had chosen a usedSWFA SS HD 5-20x50 30mm*with sunshade non illum mrad for 1000..... well I had another guy lower his price now I need to choose for 1200 I can get a IOR Valdada (FFP) 4-16x50mm with illuminated MRAD X1 plus the rings...... Help! I love the seperated reticle (.250) moa on the ior but I hear amazing things about the gen 4 ss! Both are what I like I'm just looking for what you would do

I love my 5-20x50 SS HD I would probably just get another of those as its a known commodity to me. They are a large scope but are definitely quite solid.

I'm with slingshot14 on this one. If that's not an option I would go with the swfa but more based on personal magnification preferences and the fact that i don't really like illuminated reticles. Good luck with your decision,

Having owned both, I would get the SS. IOR can be hit-n-miss on support, sometimes they send you a brand new scope when yours has issues, sometimes they go back to eastern Europe for service.

For me, it would come down to illumination, do you need it?

Awesome thank you I think the only thing that had me second guessing was the seperated center reticle, but what scared me was the fact that evryone one I've talked to has had hit or miss ceeling with ior.... I've only read of on guy with issues with his SS... And he posted his feeling recently in these forums lol. Thanks for the input.
